On Wednesday, December 12, Mali abruptly named Diango Cissoko as the country's new Prime Minister. Mali's previous Prime Minister Cheick Modibo Diarra was arrested and replaced the day before by two decrees of the interim president Dioncounda Traore by soldiers that were sympathetic to loyal to a former coup leader. This is a growing problem in Mali considering it was once the African government most closely associated with democracy. This increase of armed displacement of power can not hold well for long and still strive to be a democracy in which office holders are elected by the people, not positioned by other people already in power.

This story is a revisitation of my previous current event from November in which Israel and Gaza had been exchanging long-ranged attacks, both states suffered casualties but the Hamas' military-wing leader was killed by a missile drone. This article has stated what has happened after the leaders of the two conflicts, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas leader, Khaled Meshaal, returned from negotiations with a cease fire. The Hamas leader was welcomed to Gaza by huge crowds of supporters. He took some time after arriving home to visit the sites of destruction caused by the attacks, including the place where the Hamas military leader's car was destroyed with him inside. Khaled Meshaal stated that Hamas' is a political party who merely wishes to liberate all of the Palestine territories of being occupied by Israel. Hamas' is considered a terrorist organization by the United States and many other western countries.
